The short answer
No Maitland business publishes pool fence prices. A Sydney fencing contractor publishes $120 – $200 per metre installed for aluminium pool fencing, $200 – $300 for semi-frameless glass and $300 – $400 for frameless glass, including GST (North Shore Fencing and Gates, 2025). Another Sydney glass contractor puts frameless glass at $500 – $900 per metre fully installed (Glass Balustrade Authority, May 2025). Gates are extra.

Checked 28 October 2026. No Maitland business publishes pool fence prices. Both glass publishers are Sydney contractors and include GST: North Shore Fencing and Gates' 2025 guide, and Glass Balustrade Authority's May 2025 guide, which includes AS 1926 compliance and prices gates separately. The Quote Yard's NSW pool guide (25 February 2026) doesn't state GST. A pool barrier's certificate of compliance comes from the council or a registered certifier, not the installer.
The two Sydney glass contractors' frameless figures differ widely; each is shown as its publisher gives it, not combined.

What a 20 m pool fence costs
By our arithmetic, 20 m of aluminium pool fence at North Shore Fencing and Gates' $120 – $200 a metre is $2,400 – $4,000, and 20 m of frameless glass at its $300 – $400 a metre is $6,000 – $8,000, both including GST and before gates.
What changes a pool fence price
- Style: aluminium tubular costs least per metre in every guide above, semi-frameless glass more, frameless glass most.
- The surface: spigots core-drilled into concrete or stone coping take more work than posts set in lawn.
- Gates: each gate and its self-closing, self-latching hardware is priced separately.
- The boundary: where a boundary fence forms part of the barrier, it may need work to comply; the pool owner pays for that part.
- Compliance: the barrier must meet the NSW rules; a certificate of compliance comes from the council or a registered certifier, and their fees are separate.
